It’s an exciting new term for Inside Out Cymru at the Creative Hub in Newport! Not only is Lisa back with a new format of her friendly and supportive Craft class on Thursday mornings, but we have big changes in the Singing and Creative Writing session…

We want to offer a big, warm welcome to Bethan Jones, our new Singing tutor and Joshua Jones, the new Creative Writing lead.

Bethan is a Cardiff university music graduate from the Swansea valley. She believes that everyone should be able to feel comfortable and confident when singing and is passionate about helping people feel empowered through music. Bethan is pursuing her own further development through a singing diploma with ABRSM alongside writing children’s song for ESL learners.

Joshua Jones is a queer, autistic writer from Llanelli, South Wales. He has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University and resides in Cardiff. He has been published by Poetry Wales, Poetry Society, Broken Sleep Books, and more. He was shortlisted for the Rhys Davies Short Story 2021 Prize, published by Parthian Books, and came 3rd place in the Reflex Fiction Winter Prize, 2021. He is an experienced creative and workshop facilitator, and has worked with The Riverfront Theatre, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, National Museum of Wales, and more. His debut short story collection will be published by Parthian in Autumn 2023. His collection ‘Fistful of Flowers’, a collaborative project with Caitlin Flood-Molyneux, is out now. Insta: @joshuajoneswrites Website/blog: www.ermose.com
