Inside Out Cymru are looking for emerging and experienced arts facilitators to help us run arts sessions for wellbeing across Gwent and online.

Inside Out Cymru exists to encourage access to the arts and creative expression, promoting mental well-being through arts workshops, events, partnership working and other activities held within local communities. Inside Out aims to create integrated settings in local communities for all people and to be inclusive in everything it does.

We are calling on artists, particularly in Art and Craft, Singing and Creative Writing, to facilitate our workshops in a safe and friendly environment. Our artists help break down barriers to opportunities and encourage access to all. These workshops will be at beginner and mixed-level ability.

We are looking for emerging and experienced artists that are:

  • Confident, with a positive attitude promoting mental well-being
  • Knowledge of a range of creative tasks to suit beginner and mixed-ability participants.
  • Able to hold a room with chatter, alongside running creative tasks.
  • Adapt to individuals with varying access needs
  • Be willing to take part in the monitoring and evaluation process.
  • Live or be able to travel throughout Gwent.
  • Be competent on zoom, face to face, or a mixture of both.

Please send us:

  • Up to 6 Images of your work or a link to your media page.
  • A copy of your CV and cover letter, explaining why you want to join us and what experience you can bring. No longer than an A4 side of paper.
  • A valid DBS check & public liability insurance. (We can help you apply for both of these.)
  • Contact details of a professional reference

We particularly encourage applicants from under-represented backgrounds. This could mean people who face barriers due to their sexuality, ethnicity, social and economic background, or disability.
