Delivering Arts Workshops & Activities Across Gwent
Our Inside Out Cymru choirs have taken part in the annual Sing for Water event in Cardiff Bay. The event is organised by Laura Bradshaw, who also runs our Newport singing group in partnership with Newport Mind. Laura brings choirs from all over Wales to Cardiff for this special day, and our Bedwas choir also make the special trip.
Co-founded by the wonderful singer and composer Helen Chadwick, Sing for Water is a national event that aims to raise money for Water Aid to help communities in Africa. She says:
“When Sing for Water first started, our dream was to raise £1,000. Over the last 15 years, you’ve turned that into over £1 million for projects in Burkina Faso, Malawi, Ghana, India, Timor-Leste, Ethiopia and Rwanda. It’s wonderful that so many choirs, festivals and individuals are now involved with Sing for Water.”
