On the last day before half term one of our regular artists, Nathan Sheen, visited Blackwood Primary School to show year 6 pupils something that they could create utilising things that they might find during Autumn. Each student got to make their own clay plaque which they textured with leavess, sticks, seeds etc.
After the session the children could take away resources packs that would enable them to continue being creative during the October half term. This turned out to be perfect timing as Wales was put into a national lockdown for 2 weeks so anything that helped to keep the children busy and active was a real benefit.
The project was funded by Co-Op Local Community Fund
