Our Printmaking Exhibition is launched and open! Thank you to Congress Theatre for hosting us!
Across the first week of August 2023, a series of prints and photographs of work made in the Printmaking Session at Cwmbran Sports and Social Club were exhibited to celebrate the completion of the session.
Although we’re sad to see the end of this round of sessions with Bill Chambers Printmaker, we’re really glad to have been able to open up new skills and experiences to people in Cwmbran. One participant said ‘if it wasn’t for these sessions I wouldn’t have bothered getting off the sofa’, and another called the sessions a ‘lifeline’. Another participant reflected on seeing the progression of her skill and expression in the year long programme, stating that it was interesting to see the colours and themes of the work brighten in the same way her mood had with the support of the sessions.
