Inside Out Cymru are pleased to say that they’ve been successful in an Arts Council of Wales Sharing Together bid.

The funding will be used to deliver a day of free-to-attend, in-person skill share and wellbeing support event for artists. With demonstrations of visual arts activities, a showcase of existing resources and opportunities to discuss how the sector can better support Freelance Visual Artists working in health and wellbeing in Gwent, this project will feedback to the sector on not only supporting the wellbeing of its workers, but also encourage the delivery of high-quality arts and health provision across the region. To sustain its impact, Inside Out Cymru will provide a peer-share online teaching resource and will encourage further networking opportunities in this specific sector through a newsletter. Both of these will be implemented on the day of the networking event, where training on how to access these will also be provided.

The event will be held at the Twyn Community Centre in Caerphilly, on Monday 20th November. The event will be catered by Plant2Plate.

Confirmed demonstrators and speakers include prop-maker Lisa Floyd and print-maker Bill Chambers.

We look forward to sharing more information and getting to know more freelance artists at the event!
