We are delighted to announce that we have begun working on a new project in Blaenau Gwent and Newport to find creative ways to support people living with mental health issues to have a platform to have their voices heard. Throughout this Autumn we will be offering a range of creative writing, music and drama workshops, which will lead to a final collaborative sharing event in Spring 2020.
Voices for Mental Health is an innovative and creative response to the rapidly increasing numbers of people suffering from poor mental health. The project aims to empower people with mental health issues and illnesses, and their carers to have a voice to express themselves. The project will ensure that their voices are heard by the public and key professionals in the community through public events and online platforms.
We are grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their financial support to make this happen along with our support from Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as part of our work within Gwent Mental Health Consortium.
