This autumn Inside Out Cymru have secured funding to run two new arts sessions in Caerphilly County Borough.

Awarded by the GAVO Nature Wellbeing Fund, Inside Out Cymru have organised one visual arts session and one movement session across the county.

The Nature Wellbeing fund has been created by the Integrated Wellbeing Network Programme with Neighbourhood Care Network (Caerphilly) team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in conjunction with GAVO to support groups to provide nature-based activities. It aims to directly fund projects that encourage and enable people to participate in outdoor activities to support and enhance their health and wellbeing. For example, it can help groups and organisations to scale up existing work, re-establish themselves, or initiate new schemes in response to appropriate need and opportunity.

With support from artists Fiona Winter and Sarah Goodey, venues Bargoed Park, Bargoed Gilfach Community Centre, Tarragan Community and Educational Gardens and Cefn Fforest Eco Park, the sessions will be available from late this September.
