We are thrilled to announce that we have received a Take Part grant from Arts Council Wales to support the creative work we do in Gwent with people who have mental health issues or illnesses. The project will combine ceramics and sound to create an exciting installation which will tour Gwent next Spring 2020.

The participatory installation project will involve over 100 people, who will each create a ceramic or sound contribution for the final artwork. Our fantastic community artists will be supported by the very talented professional ceramicist Anne Gibbs (www.annegibbs.co.uk).

We want the final installation to be both a beautiful artwork and a celebration of the people who have made it. We will be working with community groups who experience a wide range of mental health difficulties and illnesses. As well as developing new creative skills, the collaborative project will also enhance participants’ wellbeing through a greater sense of connection to themselves and others.

Watch out for more news as the project develops this year.
