Delivering Arts Workshops & Activities Across Gwent
Torfaen, July 2025 – A powerful celebration of creativity, community, and wellbeing is taking place this summer in Torfaen as local artists, community members, and organisations come together for ‘Create: Community Champions’, a vibrant printmaking exhibition and series of free events.
From Friday 18 July to Friday 15 August 2025, visitors are invited to explore a colourful exhibition of original prints at the Torfaen Museum Café in Pontypool. The exhibition showcases artwork created by local participants through community workshops led by Inside Out Cymru, a charity that uses the arts to support mental health and social inclusion. The prints reflect a wide range of experiences, voices, and talents — from first-time artists to returning creatives — and highlight the value of accessible creative spaces.
The exhibition is free to enter and open during the museum café’s regular hours:
Tuesdays: 10am – 12pm
Wednesdays: 10am – 4pm
Saturdays: 1pm – 4pm
In addition to the exhibition, a special celebration event will take place on Tuesday 19 August 2025 at Llantarnam Grange in Cwmbran. Running from 10am to 4pm, this one-day event invites the public to drop in, view the exhibition, and take part in a relaxed, hands-on printmaking art workshop. No experience is necessary and all ages are welcome.

The Create: Community Champions project was made possible with support from the National Lottery Community Fund, Torfaen Museum and partners including Torfaen Building Resilient Communities and Llantarnam Grange.
