As we mark International Men’s Day, we are proud to highlight our Nurturing Dads project – a warm, creative space supporting fathers across Blaenau Gwent.
Delivered in partnership with Flying Start Blaenau Gwent and the Dads Support Team, and generously funded by the Baring Foundation’s Creative Men grants, this initiative helps dads connect, express themselves, and build confidence through music and community.
The impact speaks for itself: 67% feel more creative, 100% feel better about their support network, and many say the sessions helped them cope with daily challenges.
As one participant shared: “These sessions give me a different space to talk and it means that I can speak about my experiences in a space where I feel understood, supported and not judged.”
