Craft for Wellbeing sessions supported by the Newport Community

Inside Out Cymru are really pleased to announce that the Craft for Wellbeing sessions at the Riverfront, Newport will continue for another 7 months, thanks to the wonderful support from the Newport Community. 

On 5th June 2024, the Inside Out Cymru team headed to the Dolman Theatre to take part in Our Voice Our Choice Our Port’s Participatory Budgeting event. This year named ‘Raising Hope’, many Newport organisations gathered to ask for financial support from Newport City Council’s Social Prosperity Funding to delivery projects across the community that support people’s wellbeing, especially women and young people’s wellbeing. 

Kate Verity, project manager, put forward a bid asking for just under £5000 to run a further 23 weeks of our weekly sessions, plus an exhibition at the end of the year. We were successful! 

All our thanks goes to those there that day that not only allowed this project to continue, but allow Inside Out Cymru to grow as we get to know and support each other.
