Inside Out Cymru have joined up with Gwent Wildlife Trust to create a project that helps families to get out in nature and create art in order to promote better wellbeing. The Art in Nature Family Project will be run in a Blackwood school with artist Nathan Sheen as well as at Tredegar House with a wildlife ranger. Children will be encouraged to take notice of the nature around them before creating various types of art, both temporary and permanent, before taking home a resources pack that will enable further exploration and artistic endeavour.
Funded by the Co-Op Local Community Fund the aim of the Art in Nature family project is to increase outdoor activity and reduce levels of anxiety while doing things as a family unit.
